Originally the village bank and bank managers home, the Auld Bank House forms part of Braemars social history. The basement was formerly used by the village butcher, and has now been converted into a restaurant.
Built circa 1870, from local granite, the house retains many of its original features its big rooms and high ceilings are the perfect space for socialising whilst sat in front of the log burner.
Set out on two levels with family living accommodation on the ground floor and three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a further lounge upstairs.

We are committed to making all areas as accessible as we can, with wheel chair friendly pathways and easy access from car to the cabins. A small battery operated folding scooter is also available for loan.
Beneath the deck adjacent to The Bothy coffee shop are several lockers for storing bikes, skis and buggies etc.
Next to this is the fire pit and BBQ area which is a communal area for all cabins to use overlooking the old mill wheel and river.
